Help with the Powhunt app for iPhone. If your question isn't answered here, write to us.

Tell us your iPhone model and what you were doing. You'll find the app version at the bottom of Settings in the app. We usually answer within a few days.

Plans

Powhunt has three plans. Free gives full forecasts for 3 mountains you star, 3 days out. Powhunt Plus covers every mountain, 5-day snow totals, the odds and the likely range, powder alarms, the weekend pick (from your season pass if you set one in Settings) and starting a crew (anyone can join one). Powhunt Pro has everything in Plus and adds snow in 6-hour blocks and hour by hour (with the snow ratio and the snow level), every model side by side, who's been right at each mountain, storm cards on your lock screen, how the forecast moved and the best time to go. Plans change how much you see, never the forecast numbers.

To see the plans in the app: Settings › Your plan › See plans, or tap any locked card.

Restore a purchase

New phone, or reinstalled the app? Open Settings › Your plan › Restore purchases (it's also at the bottom of the Plans screen), signed in with the Apple ID you subscribed with. There's no Powhunt account: your plan comes from Apple. Family Sharing works too: people in your family group get the same plan.

Cancel or change a subscription

Subscriptions are handled by Apple. In the app, tap Settings › Your plan › Manage subscription, or on your iPhone open Settings › your name › Subscriptions › Powhunt. Cancel at least 24 hours before the period ends to avoid the next charge. The yearly plans start with a 7-day free trial for new subscribers; cancel at least 24 hours before it ends and you won't be charged.

For a refund, ask Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com; Apple handles all payments and refunds.

Powder alerts

Turn alerts on in Settings in the app and star the mountains you care about. Free sends alerts for your first starred mountain; Plus and Pro for all of them. No alerts? Check that notifications are on for Powhunt in your iPhone's Settings › Notifications. We only send one when real snow is on the way, so quiet weeks are normal.

Mountains

Powhunt covers 24 ski mountains in Vermont, New Hampshire, Maine, New York and Quebec, each at its base, mid-mountain and summit. Want another mountain? Email us.
